{"id":376745,"date":"2026-10-19T10:48:20","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T10:48:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/376745\/"},"modified":"2026-10-19T10:48:20","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T10:48:20","slug":"news-12-bronx-man-woman-shot-inside-claremont-apartment-building-womans-ex-boyfriend-in-custody-sources-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/376745\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Bronx | Man Woman Shot Inside Claremont Apartment Building Womans Ex Boyfriend In Custody Sources Say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">A man is in custody after two people were shot inside a Claremont apartment Saturday night, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Police responded to a 911 call at 9:27 p.m. for shots fired at 3970 Third Ave., where they say a man allegedly fired multiple rounds before barricading himself inside an apartment.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">According to investigators, a 70-year-old woman was shot in the abdomen and a 60-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Neighbors told News 12 they were around when it happened.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">\u201cI saw a blockade, and they told me I couldn&#8217;t enter the building because there was a guy there that was running back and forth between all three buildings.&#8221; Etiange Domoa, a neighbor, said. &#8220;The front building was open for us to stay in while it was cold, but my building was closed. After like 30 minutes of me waiting, I heard that they finally got him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Paramedics took the victims to St. Barnabas Hospital. They are both expected to recover, according to police.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The NYPD says officers took a person of interest into custody at the scene.
