The Miami Dolphins had a much needed bye week this past weekend. Multiple players have been banged up, including standout rookie receiver Caleb Douglas. It seems the added rest has been a good thing for the young pass catcher, as according to head coach Jeff Hafley, Douglas has a chance to suit up against the New York Jets on the road this upcoming Sunday.<\/p>\n
During his press availability on Monday morning, head coach Jeff Hafley was asked about Douglas\u2019 potential to practice this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cCaleb will be limited [in practice] today. You know, we\u2019ll see how he looks today and progress to Wednesday, but I think there\u2019s optimism there. Let\u2019s see how it goes today, and if he can get ramped up on Wednesday, it would be good to get him back out there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hafley, with a smile on his face, would go on to speak about what Miami missed on offense without Douglas in the mix.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust kind of looking back through the last couple of weeks, some of the things that he did, we\u2019ve missed him. And to see a rookie kind of have to start and stop like that, not ideal. But, he\u2019s worked really hard and it would be very great to get him back.\u201d<\/p>\n
We will keep a close eye on Douglas\u2019 practice participation as the week unfolds, but as of Monday afternoon, his availability seems to be pointing in a positive direction in regards to playing this Sunday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Miami Dolphins had a much needed bye week this past weekend.
