A vandal smashed the window of an Upper East Side bank Monday morning and left a message in red paint criticizing an Israeli weapons manufacturer, police said.<\/p>\n

The vandal targeted\u00a0the Capital One bank on E. 86th St.<\/a> near Second Ave., breaking the front window at 7:40 a.m., cops said.<\/p>\n

They left a message in red paint across the glass front doors reading \u201cDrop Elbit Pal Action,\u201d an apparent reference to Elbit Systems<\/a>, which makes drones, surveillance systems and ammunition and is used by the Israeli military, and to Palestine Action<\/a>, a protest group based in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

There were no immediate arrests.\u00a0The NYPD\u2019s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.<\/p>\n

Capital One is among the banks that the group wants to cut financial ties<\/a> that include millions in loans with Elbit. Protests have occurred at numerous banks.<\/p>\n
