{"id":379088,"date":"2026-10-22T00:57:12","date_gmt":"2026-10-22T00:57:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/379088\/"},"modified":"2026-10-22T00:57:12","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T00:57:12","slug":"vigil-held-for-5-year-old-girl-found-dead-in-queens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/379088\/","title":{"rendered":"Vigil held for 5-year-old girl found dead in Queens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The South Richmond Hill community gathered Tuesday night to express the pain they\u2019re feeling after the loss of 5-year-old Fabiana Cabello last week.<\/p>\n<p>Neighbors and relatives gathered outside the home where the tragedy happened almost a week ago to honor Fabiana, days after her funeral.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Completely broken,&#8221; Kuldeep Singh, Fabiana\u2019s father, said. &#8220;She&#8217;s my princess. Whenever she\u2019d call me, first word, \u2018I love you papa.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Many at the vigil also expressed support for Francis Cabello, the 32-year-old mother of Fabiana who prosecutors say <a href=\"https:\/\/ny1.com\/nyc\/all-boroughs\/news\/2026\/10\/15\/-year-old-girl-found-dead-in-queens-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">strangled the child to death<\/a> in their home last week.<\/p>\n<p>Francis&#8217; family and Singh say she was a caring and loving mother, but was a patient in Jamaica Hospital Medical Center\u2019s psychiatric unit for a month earlier this year, and suffered from her mental illness.<\/p>\n<p>Some called for more mental health and social services for the family and community in the days ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe voluntarily got herself committed for the necessary help.
