(WIBW) &#8211; Riley County police arrested a man in connection with assault and other offenses early Wednesday in Manhattan, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The arrested man was identified as Austin Keith Truesdale, 19, of Riley.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The incident leading to Truesdale\u2019s arrest was reported at approximately 10:01 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Pierre Street near downtown Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In that incident, a 32-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man were listed as victims when it was reported that a 19-year-old man &#8212; later identified as Truesdale &#8212; was driving recklessly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Authorities said Truesdale was arrested around 3:57 a.m. Wednesday at S. 12th Street and Fort Riley Boulevard on the south side of Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Riley County Police arrested a man in connection with assault and fleeing and eluding early...\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1792653639_490_QMRODRTYBJOTZDAMAFFT62ZOWA.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"650\" \/>Riley County Police arrested a man in connection with assault and fleeing and eluding early Wednesday on the south side of Manhattan, officials said.(WIBW)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Following his arrest, Truesdale was booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u2022 Two counts of aggravated assault<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u2022 Two counts of attempted aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u2022 Two counts of attempted aggravated assault<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u2022 Interference with a law enforcement officer<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u2022 Two counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u2022 Fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer by engaging in reckless driving.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Truesdale was booked into the Riley County Jail, where he was being held Wednesday on a $20,000 bond.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WIBW.
