{"id":379794,"date":"2026-10-22T15:46:07","date_gmt":"2026-10-22T15:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/379794\/"},"modified":"2026-10-22T15:46:07","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T15:46:07","slug":"man-stabbed-in-back-with-syringe-on-manhattan-street-in-anti-semitic-hate-crime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/379794\/","title":{"rendered":"Man stabbed in back with syringe on Manhattan street in anti-Semitic hate crime"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man was stabbed in the back by a stranger with a syringe in Manhattan\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/nycdiamonddistrict.com\/?srsltid=AYCX9vI8PvN9G7glL-IOH28IW8jNZps2LeymnB19GyXJa_d-CjQGEeTo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Diamond District<\/a> in what is being investigated as an anti-Semitic hate crime, police said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old victim, dressed in traditional Hasidic garb, was walking on W. 47th St. near Fifth Ave. when a woman started harassing him, speaking partly in Russian, about 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>When the man turned and walked away, she came up behind him and stabbed him with what is believed to be a syringe, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was taken by medics to Bellevue Hospital to be evaluated.
