Queens of the Stone Age<\/a> just announced a concert at Red Rocks, set for Wednesday, May 12, with the Pixies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The outfit is touring as it promotes a new record, \u201cPerfecth<\/a>,\u201d which comes out next Friday, Oct. 30. <\/p>\n

Tickets for the Red Rocks show go on sale on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. Pre-sale begins on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. To get a jump on those tickets, fans must sign up<\/a> for presale by 9:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The outfit is also making a special limited edition version of the album available on picture disc that you can pick up at Twist & Shout on Saturday, Oct. 31, at a HalloQueen listening event<\/a>, which will feature other goodies. Costumes are encouraged.<\/p>\n

While all of this news is obviously rad \u2013 We love us some Josh Homme and the other homies, and it\u2019s always good to have the Queens<\/a> back in these parts. \u2013 the big news here is the tour\u2019s other opener, besides the Pixies: Denver\u2019s own Wheelchair Sports Camp<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Hang on. That\u2019s just part of the hells-yeah headline. Kayln Heffernan<\/a> and Gregg Ziemba<\/a>, who just finished a jaunt supporting Peaches, are set to tag along on all 16 dates of the tour, which kicks off on Saturday, May 1 in San Diego.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the power of the internet got us this,\u201d says Heffernan. \u201cOur vid for the song \u2018EAT MEAT!\u2019 really hit the right people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cActually, somehow, Greggy called it and the Peaches tour,\u201d Heffernan says of how this huge opportunity manifested itself. \u201cHe\u2019s really witchy. Queens started liking our posts, and Gregg said we were gonna go on tour with them someday. We didn\u2019t realize it would be in May. This new album has been such a mighty push.<\/p>\n

It was perfect timing for the news. Heffernan and company have a brand new video set to drop this coming week for the song \u201cDEAD\u201d on Tuesday, Oct. 27. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m still in shock,\u201d Heffernan confides. \u201cAnd when we found out Pixies was the main support, we really flipped. Gregg didn\u2019t sleep all night. We\u2019re so ready to rock with them and pull as many pranks as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
