A Jewish man was stalked and then stabbed by a woman who stalked him on a busy Midtown street during the Wednesday evening rush, police sources said.<\/p>\n
The victim, 26 \u2013 wearing traditional Jewish garb \u2013 was walking on Fifth Avenue near West 47th Street in the Diamond District just before 6 p.m. when a woman speaking Russian started following him, according to the sources.<\/p>\n

The victim felt a sharp needle-like prick to his lower right back as he approached a nearby grocery store, according to the sources.<\/p>\n
He told police he believed he was stabbed with a syringe, but it was not immediately clear whether anything was inside, the sources said.<\/p>\n
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed as stable.<\/p>\n
