Sources say Erewhon \u2014 the cult Los Angeles grocery store<\/a> known for its Hailey Bieber strawberry slurpies and eye-popping price tags for simple field greens \u2014 is opening imminently on Bleecker and Broadway.<\/p>\n The location will take over the PlantShed cafe and florist at 644 Broadway, which is tucked inside a Kith women\u2019s boutique that sells $1,500 jackets<\/a> to the city\u2019s most stylish.<\/p>\n Erewhon smoothies cost around $20 and count Hailey Bieber and K-pop star Lisa as collaborators. Jonathan Alcorn For CA Post<\/p>\n \u201cI stopped in my tracks,\u201d said Chandler Forsythe, director of operations and community at the NoHo Business Improvement District<\/a>, who spotted an Erewhon canvas awning at the store on Thursday. \u201cThat\u2019s huge.\u201d<\/p>\n As part of his job at the community non-profit, Forsythe takes daily walks across the district, which includes Mercer St., Broadway, Lafayette, Houston and Astor Place. \u201cI was surprised and excited,\u201d he said. \u201cKnowing the cultural cachet that Erewhon has, from a community perspective, it\u2019s really huge for us.\u201d<\/p>\n Forsythe said he\u2019s heard from district property mavens that the shop will be an Erewhon smoothie pop-up and cafe on a long-term lease, \u201cwith plans to be there permanently.\u201d (Neither Kith nor Erewhon responded to The Post\u2019s inquiries for comment at the time of publication.)<\/p>\n
