{"id":38121,"date":"2025-11-13T11:12:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T11:12:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/38121\/"},"modified":"2025-11-13T11:12:15","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T11:12:15","slug":"new-york-rangers-agree-to-terms-with-g-spencer-martin-on-two-year-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/38121\/","title":{"rendered":"New York Rangers agree to terms with G Spencer Martin on two-year deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/new-york-rangers\/3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/new-york-rangers\/3\" target=\"_blank\">New York Rangers<\/a> have agreed to a two-year deal with goaltender <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/spencer-martin\/8477484\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/spencer-martin\/8477484\" target=\"_blank\">Spencer Martin<\/a>, general manager <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/chris-drury\/8460562\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/chris-drury\/8460562\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Drury<\/a> announced on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Martin, 30, had spent the beginning of the 2025-26 season in the Kontinental Hockey League with CSKA Moscow, posting a 2.69 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage in 14 games played before having his contract terminated on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Oakville, Ont. native split time between the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/carolina-hurricanes\/12\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/carolina-hurricanes\/12\" target=\"_blank\">Carolina Hurricanes<\/a> and Chicago Wolves (AHL) last season.
