Somewhere in New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 28, iShowSpeed<\/a> will be hiding with $250,000 on the line for whoever finds him first. The 21-year-old streaming sensation is turning the five boroughs into a massive scavenger hunt, challenging fans to track down his secret location before someone else beats them to the prize. The action kicks off at 1 p.m. ET and runs through 4 p.m., with the entire search unfolding during a livestream.<\/p>\n

Finding Speed won’t be as simple as spotting him on the sidewalk, however. Over the three-hour event, organizers will gradually reveal coordinates that pinpoint his location, letting participants narrow their search as the afternoon progresses. <\/p>\n

Fans can also hunt down five costumed characters stationed throughout the city, each carrying two additional coordinate numbers that could help them locate the streamer faster. <\/p>\n

The first eligible participant to reach Speed’s hiding place will claim the $250,000 grand prize.<\/p>\n

Anyone unable to join the search in person can watch the entire competition stream on the official Million-Dollar Mission finale website<\/a>. Participants will need to follow the clues as they’re released, meaning those watching from home can keep up with the action even if they aren’t chasing the money themselves. <\/p>\n

The stunt is the grand finale of a nine-week, $1 million competition launched in August by Dr. Squatch and iShowSpeed.<\/a> Since its debut, the campaign has featured 25 challenges across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, with participants hunting for hidden briefcases, solving clues, and competing through social media. <\/p>\n

The concept also plays directly into the relationship Speed has built with his audience. The Cincinnati native (real name: Darren Watkins Jr.) has amassed about 184 million followers across platforms and ranked eighth on Forbes’ 2026 Top Creators list. <\/p>\n

His career has evolved from viral gaming streams into international broadcasts, soccer appearances, and live events that regularly draw enormous crowds. During an August interview with Forbes, Speed explained why he gravitates toward interactive projects. <\/p>\n
