Police are investigating after a 53-year-old man was shot in the stomach on Snyder Avenue on Oct. 27.<\/p>\n

A 53-year-old man was shot in the stomach on Snyder Avenue in East Flatbush<\/a> on Tuesday evening, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n

Police said they responded to a 911 call just after 6 p.m. near the corner of Snyder and Utica avenues, where officers found the man with a gunshot wound to his stomach. The victim was transported to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The NYPD<\/a> said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite the shooting, reported gun violence is down year over year in East Flatbush\u2019s 67th Precinct, according to the most recently available NYPD data<\/a>. As of Oct. 25, the precinct had recorded 10 shootings, down from 26 during the same period last year. The number of shooting victims also fell by nearly 65%, from 34 by Oct. 25, 2025, to 12 so far this year.<\/p>\n
