Queens of the Stone Age<\/a> have unveiled \u201cRun Away from the Mob\u201d as the latest single from their upcoming album, Perfecth, which arrives this Friday via Matador Records.<\/p>\n

The song is a stripped-down track that remains mellow until the 2:45 mark, when the drums and guitars get loud for the final minute of the tune.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a letter,\u201d explains frontman Josh Homme of the song\u2019s lyrics. \u201cA last one, addressed to an oldest son \u2014 \u2018if you\u2019re reading this, everything went wrong, and here\u2019s what you have to do\u2019. The end is the sound of a father standing behind his son.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRun Away from the Mob\u201d follows previous singles \u201cWhere the Goth Girls At?,\u201d<\/a> \u201cInsignificant Other,\u201d<\/a> and \u201cEasy Street.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

The new single comes roughly a week after QOTSA announced a Spring 2027 North American tour<\/a> with support from Pixies and Wheelchair Sports Camp.
