NEW YORK (1010 WINS) \u2014 Police are searching for a man they say followed a woman on foot for multiple blocks before sexually assaulting her in Midtown earlier this month. <\/p>\n
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect on Tuesday, asking for the public’s help to identify him.<\/p>\n
According to officials, on Monday, Oct. 5, at approximately 12:05 a.m, a 30-year-old woman was followed by an unidentified man who sexually abused her near Lexington Avenue and East 57th Street.<\/p>\n
Police said a struggle ensued during the attack, leaving the victim with bruising to her jaw and hip. The assailant fled the scene on foot.<\/p>\n
The victim refused medical attention at the scene.<\/p>\n
