{"id":386814,"date":"2026-10-29T18:00:08","date_gmt":"2026-10-29T18:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/386814\/"},"modified":"2026-10-29T18:00:08","modified_gmt":"2026-10-29T18:00:08","slug":"15-year-old-boy-shot-and-killed-thursday-morning-in-the-bronx-nypd-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/386814\/","title":{"rendered":"15-year-old boy shot and killed Thursday morning in the Bronx, NYPD says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-block-key=\"rwu03\">A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in the Bronx on Thursday morning, police said.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"bj2q8\">The shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. near East 171st Street and Crotona Place, near Crotona Park, according to an NYPD spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"f95jk\">Officers who responded found the boy shot once in the abdomen and drove him in their patrol car to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"1c2i7\">Police have not identified the boy.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"506jk\">Authorities did not immediately describe any suspects or say how many there were.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"asevk\">The killing comes as shootings and murders are down this year in the 42nd Precinct, which covers the area.
