The still-at-large crook \u2014 seen in surveillance footage wearing a Yankees cap \u2014 entered CardVault by Tom Brady on Lafayette Street near Prince Street and tried to buy merch using a credit card in the Oct. 20 heist, police said Thursday.<\/p>\n
When his card was declined, he fudged with the tap-to-pay system to trick the employee into believing the transaction went through, authorities said.<\/p>\n

He then left with a haul of baseball and Pokemon cards worth $9,710, police said.<\/p>\n
Police could not confirm what specific cards he\u2019d stolen, and the store declined to comment.<\/p>\n

The suspect, seen inside the store in a video released by the NYPD Thursday, is described as a male with a medium complexion.<\/p>\n
In addition to the baseball cap, he was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, white socks, white sneakers and carrying a multicolored bag with what appears to be a cartoon image.<\/p>\n
