part is the insane avoidance of anything that risks hindering illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/10\/28\/us-news\/boy-dies-4-family-members-critical-after-fire-rips-through-bronx-apartment-report\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a fire in Bronx public housing killed an 11-year-old and injured others<\/a> because an e-bike blocked the apartment\u2019s only exit.<\/p>\n<p>More deadly fires are started by e-bike batteries, killing at least 31 New Yorkers since 2023. <\/p>\n<p>Yet the city fails to crack down with new laws or tougher enforcement;
