The man who charged at Ariana Grande at the Singapore premiere of \u201cWicked: For Good\u201d is now facing the consequences.<\/p>\n
According to BBC News<\/a>, Johnson Wen, 26, has now been charged with being a public nuisance in Singapore.<\/p>\n He faces a fine of\u00a0up to $2,000 ($1,540), if he is found guilty.\u00a0<\/p>\n On Friday, Grande, 32,\u00a0remained in high spirits despite the scary situation. She posted snaps from the press tour on Instagram and wrote,\u00a0\u201cThank you, Singapore \u2661 we love you.\u201d<\/p>\n Johnson Wen in his Instagram post after the incident. The Straits Times\/AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n In multiple videos that went viral<\/a> from Thursday\u2019s event, Grande can be seen walking the red carpet with co-stars Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum.<\/p>\n Wen then rushes toward Grande and wraps his arms around her. <\/p>\n As the \u201cThank u, next\u201d singer struggled to get away from him, Erivo, 38, rushed in to protect her. The actress placed herself in between Wen and Grande.\u00a0<\/p>\n Security then came to remove him. Does it bring you joy to disturb celebrities? I sincerely hope you charged with something and banned from events.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n On his Instagram Story on Thursday, Wen posted that he was \u201cfree after being arrested.\u201d<\/p>\n On Friday, he appeared in court via video link, with no legal representation.\u00a0Per the Singapore newspaper The Straits Times<\/a>, he is expected to plead guilty on Nov. 17.\u00a0<\/p>\n Grande is currently on a world tour with the \u201cWicked For Good,\u201d cast, which will wrap up in New York City on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n The movie hits theaters Nov. 21.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t
