Disgraced ex-New York Magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi has claimed in her forthcoming memoir that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told her he loved her and wrote her poems during their racy sexting affair \u2014 as she revealed the body parts they liked most about each other.<\/p>\n
The 32-year-old political reporter, whose\u00a0promising\u00a0career imploded when the scandal broke last year, divulges intimate new details about their emotionally-charged, never-physical romance \u2014 \u00a0including that Kennedy gave her the nickname \u201cLivvy\u201d and proclaimed that he\u2019d \u201ctake a bullet\u201d for her.<\/p>\n

Things got so intense that President Trump\u2019s now-health secretary also told the\u00a0then-engaged journalist\u00a0he wanted her to have his baby, according to a New York Times profile,\u00a0titled \u201cOlivia Nuzzi Did It All for Love,\u201d which previews part of her book.<\/p>\n
The bombshell tell-all \u2014 titled \u201cAmerican Canto\u201d \u2014 refers to RFK Jr., 71, as \u201cthe politician\u201d and details how their digital dalliance blossomed into a hot-and-heavy genuine connection after she wrote an article about him in October 2023, when he was still a presidential candidate.<\/p>\n
In the book, Nuzzi wrote that RFK Jr.\u2019s nose was her favorite part of his body and described his eyes as \u201cblue as the flame.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also gushed that the decades-older married politician was so sensitive that \u201cthe sight of something as trivial as a rose\u201d could bring him to tears.<\/p>\n
She even adored his \u201cparticular complications and particular darkness,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
The unlikely lovebirds eventually exchanged \u00a0\u201cI love yous\u201d \u2014 with Kennedy saying it first and Nuzzi taking more time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love him, I thought. Oh no. I love him so much,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n
They spoke so often, and with such intimacy, she sometimes saw Kennedy flossing his teeth next to a toiletry bag full of prescription meds.<\/p>\n

Nuzzi goes on to insist she didn\u2019t care about their age gap because they shared \u201ccommon language, common skepticisms, common ideas about what was beautiful, common beliefs about what was valuable.\u201d<\/p>\n
She wrote that they \u201cmoved through the world with amused detachment and deep sensitivity, contradictions that worked somehow in concert.\u201d<\/p>\n
But when news of their sexting affair broke, Kennedy had a bizarre, self-absorbed response, according to the Times profile.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf it\u2019s just sex, I can survive it,\u201d the politician told her in September 2024 \u2014 in an apparent reference to his political career.<\/p>\n

Nuzzi told him she would do whatever he needed her to do as the scandal unfolded, she wrote, including ultimately taking a figurative bullet for him\u00a0a month later\u00a0\u2014 her job at New York Magazine.<\/p>\n
She was also dumped by her then-fiance, fellow political reporter Ryan Lizza\u00a0\u2014 who previously claimed in court papers that Nuzzi painted Kennedy as manipulative because of the \u201chuge power disparity.\u201d<\/p>\n
