More than three months after a Manhattan fashion designer was found dead on a boat<\/a> at a ritzy Long Island yacht club, police still have no answers about the 33-year-old\u2019s cause of death.<\/p>\n

Suffolk County police previously stated that they believe Martha Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra most likely died of an overdose after her unresponsive body was discovered on a boat moored at Montauk Yacht Club in early August, citing that there were \u201cno signs of violence\u201d and a white powdery substance was found nearby. <\/p>\n

Police have so far refused to release any details on how she died or what that substance was \u2014 even denying The Post\u2019s legal request for public documents related to her autopsy and toxicology reports, claiming they are \u201crestricted to specific entities.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police have yet to determine the cause of death for 33-year-old NYC fashion designer Martha Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra. Nolan\/memorial<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s frustrating,\u201d Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra\u2019s family\u2019s attorney, Arthur L. Aidala<\/a> told The Post, adding the family has not seen a full toxicology report nor been given a final cause of death.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we know the effort is being made by the DA\u2019s office to do what needs to be done to cross every \u2018t\u2019 and dot every \u2018i\u2019 to get to the bottom of this,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aidala also pushed back against speculation<\/a> that the Irish designer had died of an overdose and insisted she wasn\u2019t known to do drugs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSomething doesn\u2019t make sense here,\u201d Aidala charged.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we\u2019re hanging back and letting law enforcement do their job.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police have so far only released limited details about Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra\u2019s final hours, leaving key questions about what unfolded that night unanswered.<\/p>\n

Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra was found dead on a boat at the Montauk Yacht Club on August 5th. VSCO\/marthanolan<\/p>\n

She was found unresponsive on a boat named \u201cThe Ripple\u201d that was docked at the posh yacht club on Aug. 5, according to the Suffolk County Police Department \u2014 after residents nearby reported hearing screams late that night.<\/p>\n

That boat belonged to Chris Durnan, 60, who is well-known locally and who owns another boat, \u201cHell In A Bucket,\u201d which is moored at the same dock, according to public records.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The night that Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra died, she was at the swanky yacht club for a meeting with Durnan, <\/a>who owns a 13% stake in her swimwear fashion company East x East, to discuss the expansion of her swimwear brand, according to New York Magazine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Police have claimed there were \u201cno signs of violence\u201d despite a white powdery substance found nearby, along with The Post\u2019s legal request to access public documents related to her autopsy was denied.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you guys are looking for more money, let\u2019s sit down and talk about it,\u201d Durnan wrote in a text to Nolan-O\u2019Slatarra and her business partner Dylan Grace, according to messages obtained by the outlet.<\/p>\n

Durnan was later found running around the yacht club naked, yelling and throwing sunscreen at other boats, attempting to get their attention.<\/p>\n

He owns and operates an insurance company called the Durnan Group, located in Rockville Centre.<\/p>\n

He has not responded to The Post\u2019s numerous requests for comment.<\/p>\n
