{"id":4067,"date":"2025-10-15T21:54:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T21:54:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/4067\/"},"modified":"2025-10-15T21:54:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-15T21:54:11","slug":"jets-downplay-breece-hall-trade-rumors-after-social-media-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/4067\/","title":{"rendered":"Jets downplay Breece Hall trade rumors after social media post"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jets coach Aaron Glenn dismissed the idea that the team is planning on trading running back Breece Hall on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There has been chatter <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/10\/sports\/breece-hall-makes-his-jets-stance-clear-as-trade-buzz-heightens\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">about Hall being traded <\/a>dating back to April. That chatter has reemerged with the team at 0-6 and the Nov. 4 trading deadline approaching. Glenn said this summer that the team did not want to trade Hall. <\/p>\n<p>He was asked about the latest round of trade rumors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re rumors,\u201d Glenn said. \u201cStill feel the same way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hall added fuel to the fire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DPw-Tp0koUB\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">with a social media post this week<\/a>. It read: \u201cThey want me to lay down but I got sum to stand for \u2026 #Free 20.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That led to speculation that Hall might want out.<\/p>\n<p>When asked on Wednesday for an interpretation of the social media post, Hall said, \u201cmaybe one of these days\u201d and left the locker room.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37392411\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20-works-nfl-football-practice-113189674.jpg\" alt=\"New York Jets running back Breece Hall (20) during NFL football practice.\" class=\"wp-image-37392411\"  \/>Jets running back Breece Hall (20) works out during NFL football practice at The Grove in Watford, England. AP<\/p>\n<p>He later returned and spoke to a small group of reporters. Hall gave an explanation that was not very clear.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t posted yet this season,\u201d Hall said. \u201cIt\u2019s just a way for me to say I\u2019m ready for whatever comes my way, whether it\u2019s going against an opponent, whether it\u2019s in my life. For me, it\u2019s a football thing. All right, I\u2019m ready for whatever opponent is coming my way, whatever the case may be.
