The win pushes the Gothic Knights to 2\u20131 on the season, while the Bulldogs remain in search of their first win at 0\u20134.<\/p>\n<p>NJCU shot an efficient 46.6% from the field (27\u201358) and dominated inside despite connecting on just two of fourteen attempts from beyond the arc. The Gothic Knights also capitalized at the free-throw line, converting 84.6% (11\u201313) of their attempts. Brooklyn struggled to find rhythm offensively, shooting 34% overall (18\u201353) and 30% from three (6\u201320), while leaving valuable points at the line with a 55.6% (10\u201318) performance.<\/p>\n<p>The Gothic Knights overwhelmed the Bulldogs in points off turnovers (29\u20138), bench scoring (28\u20138), points in the paint (42\u201324), and fast-break points (9\u20137). Brooklyn did manage to outwork NJCU on the offensive glass, translating extra opportunities into a 20\u201315 edge in second-chance points.<\/p>\n<p>Senior <a href=\"https:\/\/njcugothicknights.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/bakhi-rogers-robinson\/5998\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"5998\" target=\"_blank\">Bakhi Rogers-Robinson<\/a> (Orange, N.J.\/West Caldwell Tech) spearheaded the NJCU attack with a dynamic, two-way performance. He poured in 22 points, ripped a career-high six steals, and added four rebounds and two assists. Fellow senior <a href=\"https:\/\/njcugothicknights.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/arterio-williams\/6208\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6208\" target=\"_blank\">Arterio Williams<\/a> (Hamilton, N.J.\/Hamilton West) delivered a breakout showing of his own, contributing a career-best 11 points along with four boards. Sophomore <a href=\"https:\/\/njcugothicknights.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/matt-mcsorley\/6156\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"6156\" target=\"_blank\">Matt McSorley<\/a> (Colonia, N.J.\/Colonia) played one of his most complete games in an NJCU uniform, grabbing a career-high eight rebounds, scoring nine points, and filling the stat sheet with four assists, two blocks, and two steals. Junior point guard <a href=\"https:\/\/njcugothicknights.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/coaches\/marc-brown\/1396\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1396\" target=\"_blank\">Marc Brown<\/a> Jr. orchestrated the offense with poise, producing career highs in assists (6) and rebounds (2) while also recording the first block of his collegiate career.<\/p>\n<p>Brooklyn was led by Muneer Ibrahem, who finished with 16 points and three assists. Thomas Hall put together an all-around effort, tallying 15 points, six steals, eight rebounds, three blocks, and three assists.<\/p>\n<p>NJCU set the tone early, taking a 10\u20135 lead at the 15:34 mark following a Rogers-Robinson three-pointer that ignited an 8\u20130 run, including five straight points by Williams. The Gothic Knights maintained a double-digit advantage until the 5:30 mark, when Brooklyn responded with an 11\u20132 surge to cut the deficit to 25\u201322. The Bulldogs closed the half strong, sinking five consecutive free throws to erase the remainder of NJCU&#8217;s lead and send the teams into the break knotted at 27\u201327.<\/p>\n<p>Brooklyn seized momentum immediately in the second half, scoring back-to-back layups to take its first lead of the game. The Gothic Knights responded, erupting for a 26\u20137 run, featuring scoring contributions from six different players, to build their largest lead of the afternoon at 53\u201338. Brooklyn attempted one final push, trimming the margin to 57\u201349 with under four minutes remaining.
