{"id":41227,"date":"2025-11-16T13:14:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-16T13:14:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/41227\/"},"modified":"2025-11-16T13:14:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-16T13:14:16","slug":"indiana-linebackers-rare-moment-of-humanity-should-be-celebrated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/41227\/","title":{"rendered":"Indiana linebacker&#8217;s rare moment of humanity should be celebrated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I don\u2019t know much about him except that he\u2019s a 6-foot-1, 225-pound senior linebacker named Aiden Fisher who plays for Indiana.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I also know, based on what I saw <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/08\/sports\/indiana-thwarts-penn-state-upset-bid-with-catch-of-the-year\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">last Saturday on Fox<\/a>, that he\u2019s hopelessly out of touch with modern expectations of college football players who have been pre-conditioned by TV to be rewarded for all the wrong reasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It came after the last play in an intense back-and-forth ending of Indiana at Penn State \u2014 a desperation incompletion thrown by PSU\u2019s determined freshman QB Ethan Grunkemeyer, a midseason replacement for an injured starter, before Fisher knocked him down.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fisher then broke the code of conduct.
