New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd is in \u201cgood condition\u201d after being shot twice in the gut outside a celeb hotspot in Midtown Manhattan, his best pal told The Post.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s all good right now. He\u2019s in good condition. He\u2019s doing real good,\u201d said Ernest Quander, one of Boyd\u2019s closest friends from his days playing ball at the University of Texas.<\/p>\n

Boyd was left in critical condition and clinging to life after being gunned down on the street outside a restaurant in the heart of Manhattan around 2 a.m. Sunday. James Keivom<\/p>\n

Boyd was left in critical condition and clinging to life after being gunned down on the street outside a restaurant in the heart of Manhattan around 2 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old was struck by two gunshots to the abdomen, while two luxury cars \u2013 one believed to be carrying the gunman \u2013 sped away from the scene.<\/p>\n
Boyd joined the Jets at the beginning of the season, but has not appeared in a game. Bill Kostroun\/New York Post<\/p>\n
No official updates on Boyd\u2019s health have been given since he was listed as in critical but stable condition after being rushed to Bellevue Hospital while slipping in and out of consciousness, sources told The Post.<\/p>\n
But Quander said he was on his way to NYC to be at his friend\u2019s side.<\/p>\n
The two first met while Quander was a 23-year-old coach, and Boyd was a freshman college player.<\/p>\n
