On Sunday, Nov. 16, The Advance\/SILive.com received reports that water had been out at the Todt Hill Houses going back to Friday, Nov. 14.<\/p>\n
According to the tipster, who asked that their name not be used out of fear of retribution, the water at 176 Schmidts Lane turned off suddenly on Friday with no notification.<\/p>\n
On Saturday morning, the tipster says that residents were notified that a pipe had broken, and an automated message claimed the issue would be fixed that night.<\/p>\n
When Sunday came, however, the water was still out in the building and residents were stuck filling pots and pans at a series of faucets connected to a fire hydrant on LaGuardia Avenue.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m surprised they did not offer bottles of water to the tenants,\u201d the tipster said. \u201cEverybody has to come downstairs with bottles or buckets to get water just to flush the toilet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another resident of the Todt Hill Houses, who also asked that her name not be used, confirmed that the building at 176 Schmidts Lane has been without water since Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cOriginally we were told it would be back in one day, but look,\u201d she said while filling a pot with water at a faucet set up outside. <\/p>\n
