It\u2019s the season of giving and in the spirit of giving back, the Timberwolves\u2019 Terrence\u00a0Shannon Jr. lent a helping hand on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The NBA star surprised ten families from the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities with $500 grocery store cards. <\/p>\n
\u201cJust thought it would be a blessing to help someone out on the holidays,\u201d Shannon said. \u201cNot everyone is fortunate. If I can find a way to help someone out, any day I feel like I will.\u201d<\/p>\n
In addition to helping the families pay for Thanksgiving, Shannon also spent time with each family, walking the aisles of Hyvee in Brooklyn Park, hearing their stories and helping pick out what to eat.<\/p>\n
While families will return home with plenty of food for the Holidays, Shannon will head back to the Timberwolves locker room to continue his recovery. The guard sustained a bone bruise on his left foot, which sidelined him earlier this month. His injury is scheduled for re-evaluation later this week. <\/p>\n
