There are still so many questions surrounding Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>\u2019s corgis after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a> lost his royal title.<\/p>\n

A new report from British journalist Rob Shuter claimed that King Charles III<\/a> is \u201cpreparing to seize\u201d the dogs from Andrew, 65. The #ShuterScoop Substack<\/a> alleged that Charles does not think Andrew is “capable” of taking care of the pups.<\/p>\n

Charles allegedly feels the dogs, named Muick and Sandy, need “more stable home \u2014 and better judgment around them,\u201d per Shuter\u2019s newsletter. A senior courtier alleged that Elizabeth would \u201cnever\u201d have left her dogs with Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, \u201cand Charles knows that better than anyone,\u201d Shuter reported.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly understands that the corgis will remain within the royal family.<\/p>\n

Charles stripped Andrew of his prince title and evicted him from Royal Lodge late last month after the former Duke of York\u2019s connection to late billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein continued to make headlines<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,\u201d a statement from Buckingham Palace read on October 30. \u201cHis lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement continued, \u201cFormal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buckingham Palace\u2019s statement ended with a rather pointed message.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse,\u201d they shared.<\/p>\n

After news broke about Andrew\u2019s status within the royal family, U.K.\u2019s The Independent<\/a> received a statement from Buckingham Palace regarding the future of the dogs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe corgis will remain with the family,\u201d they shared \u2014 not offering any further details.<\/p>\n

The dogs went to Andrew and Ferguson, 66, after Elizabeth II\u2019s death<\/a> in September 2022. Ferguson said earlier this year that the late monarch is communicating through her pets.<\/p>\n

“I have her dogs. I have her corgis, so every morning they come in and go, ‘Woof, woof’ and all that and I’m sure it’s her talking to me,” Ferguson said in May, per a video clip shared via Instagram.<\/p>\n

Ferguson continued discussing the late queen\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n

“The real thing is that I had the greatest honor to be her daughter-in-law. You know, that’s really huge,” she said. “When I was driving here, I saw the Elizabeth [train] line \u2026 I want everyone to remember what an amazing lady she was.”<\/p>\n

Ferguson also offered Us Weekly an exclusive update on the pups<\/a> in September 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have seven dogs and two of them are corgis [and] five of them are Norfolk terriers. They\u2019re all doing very well,\u201d she shared while attending the Global Citizen Prize Awards at the time. \u201cThey\u2019re all very lovely and very, very loved!\u201d<\/p>\n

Ferguson noted that they all get along.<\/p>\n
