{"id":43187,"date":"2025-11-18T02:06:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-18T02:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/43187\/"},"modified":"2025-11-18T02:06:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T02:06:09","slug":"man-arrested-after-dog-was-found-severely-malnourished-in-seymour-police-nbc-connecticut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/43187\/","title":{"rendered":"Man arrested after dog was found severely malnourished in Seymour: police \u2013 NBC Connecticut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man has been arrested after investigators found a dog that was emaciated and severely malnourished in Woodbridge, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The Woodbridge Police Department said animal control officials responded to a Seymour home for possible animal neglect and abuse.<\/p>\n<p>Police found a Cane Corso that was emaciated and several underfed, and said the dog&#8217;s spine, hips and ribs were &#8220;protruding.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The dog was taken to a local veterinarian for life-saving medical treatment, and its health is improving.<\/p>\n<p>Seymour police arrested a 50-year-old man on an arrest warrant on Friday.
