Chinese basketball prospect Zeng Fanbo was waived by the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, just days after the team concluded its NBA China Games in Macau.

The 22-year-old recorded one steal and three fouls while not attempting any shots.

Zeng’s management team said the Harbin native would remain in the United States to continue his recovery from a serious back injury and thanked fans for their support and care along the way.

“Being able to stand on the court of the NBA pre-season game and wear an NBA jersey was an extremely valuable experience for Zeng,” the statement read. “He was dealt a serious injury in his back and waist in late April, severely affecting his original off-season plans.

“Zeng has put all his efforts into his dream. It takes courage to stand on the court again. I hope everyone will support and encourage him.”

Chinese basketball prospect Zeng Fanbo was waived by the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, just days after the team…

[36
4573,4582,4567,4576,98,100,355,99,4572,827,4571,4574,4579,4581,4570,4049,4578,4577,4568,4580,21,9,24,63,4575,4569
post-4425","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-brooklyn","tag-2025-nba-china-games","tag-australia","tag-basketball","tag-beijing-ducks","tag-brooklyn","tag-brooklyn-headlines","tag-brooklyn-nets","tag-brooklyn-news","tag-cba","tag-china","tag-chinese-basketball-association","tag-exhibit-10-contract","tag-g-league","tag-harbin","tag-jordi-fernandez","tag-long-island-nets","tag-macau","tag-mfon-udofia","tag-national-basketball-association","tag-national-basketball-league","tag-nba","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-city","tag-nyc","tag-phoenix-suns","tag-zeng-fanbo
["GET
