{"id":44278,"date":"2025-11-19T00:14:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T00:14:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/44278\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T00:14:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T00:14:09","slug":"exclusive-nyc-wannabe-food-influencer-pei-chung-still-free-despite-da-seeking-bail-after-latest-alleged-dine-and-dash-stunts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/44278\/","title":{"rendered":"Exclusive | NYC wannabe food influencer Pei Chung still free despite DA seeking bail after latest alleged dine-and-dash stunts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The drippy dine-and-dasher <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/16\/us-news\/fake-nyc-foodie-pei-chung-is-a-serial-dine-and-dasher-cops\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">repeatedly busted for allegedly scamming top city restaurants<\/a> is still free to fraudulently feast \u2014 after a Brooklyn judge released her without bail over her latest stunt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/18\/us-news\/nycs-accused-dine-and-dash-diva-busted-twice-again-in-24-hours-while-mocking-cops\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Prada-loving Pei Chung, 34, <\/a>was cut loose on supervised release at her arraignment Sunday by Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Jevet Johnson \u2014 despite prosecutors seeking to lock up the accused stingy diner for scamming two more hot spots over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Brooklyn prosecutors sought $1,500 cash bail or $3,500 bond to keep Chung, a wannabe influencer, behind bars after she allegedly noshed on pricey plates at a pair of posh Williamsburg restaurants Friday into Saturday, then couldn\u2019t, or wouldn\u2019t, pay.<\/p>\n<p>Alleged serial dine-and-dasher Pei Chung has been released without bail by a Brooklyn judge. lu.pychung\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>She had already been busted five times since late October for allegedly pulling the same stunt at other local hot spots \u2014 including a restaurant with a Michelin star \u2014 near her home in a lux hi-rise.<\/p>\n<p>As in her previous cases, Chung was charged with theft of services in the weekend incidents, a non-bail-eligible rap, before she was freed by the judge.
