The music group Helium Queens is set to perform Nov. 20 at the UTA Planetarium. The event will feature drinks and food.<\/p>\n

UTA\u2019s Planetarium will host a Helium Queens concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, with a preshow reception beginning at 6 p.m. in the planetarium. <\/p>\n

The Helium Queens are a Fort Worth\u2013based synth-pop band known for performing as futuristic personas inspired by outer space and the moon. Planetarium coordinator McKenna Dowd said the group not only plays music but also builds a narrative into their shows, creating a performance that blends story and sound. <\/p>\n

Dowd said this will be the band\u2019s third performance at the planetarium and that they are excited to welcome them back under the cool visuals of space. <\/p>\n

Dowd said the planetarium\u2019s concert series aims to bring art and science together. All visuals are crafted from real astronomical data and are uniquely designed for each performance. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a lot of fun with it, for sure,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n

Tickets include admission to the show as well as appetizers during the reception. Student and child tickets are $25, faculty and staff tickets are $30 and general admission tickets are $35. <\/p>\n
