Two things that made massive cultural splashes this year \u2014\u00a0Labubu<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 will fill the sky and streets of New York when the Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade kicks off this year.<\/p>\n

The Nov. 27 parade begins rain or shine on Manhattan\u2019s Upper West Side and ends at Macy\u2019s Herald Square flagship store on 34th Street, which serves as a stage and backdrop for performances. It will feature 34 balloons, four mini-balloons, 28 floats, 33 clown groups and 11 marching bands \u2014 all leading the way for Santa Claus.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s key things to know about the parade and how to watch it.<\/p>\n

What time does the Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade start?<\/p>\n

It starts at 8:30 a.m. Eastern and airs at that time in all time zones.<\/p>\n

What channel is the Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade on?<\/p>\n

It will be on NBC New York.<\/p>\n

What if I want to stream it?<\/p>\n

The parade is being simulcast on Peacock and an encore telecast begins at 2 p.m. EST. A Spanish language simulcast will also be on Telemundo.<\/p>\n

Last year,<\/a>\u00a0more than 31 million people tuned in on NBC and Peacock, up 10% from the previous year and marking the biggest audience ever for the parade.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the weather going to be like?<\/p>\n

According to Storm Team 4, Thanksgiving looks like it will be sandwiched between two rainy days on Wednesday and Friday, but Thursday itself may be clear. It’s still too far out to be certain, but highs around 50 with mostly cloudy skies may be likely.<\/p>\n

Winds don’t appear to be much of a risk, which is good news for those looking forward to seeing the balloons. New York City law prohibits Macy\u2019s from flying the full-size balloons if sustained winds exceed 23 mph or wind gusts are over 35 mph.<\/p>\n

Who are some of the stars performing?<\/p>\n

\u201cWicked\u201d star\u00a0Cynthia Erivo<\/a>\u00a0will kick off a starry show.\u00a0Audrey Nuna, EJAE and Rei Ami<\/a>\u00a0of HUNTR\/X, the fictional girl group at the heart of the Netflix hit\u00a0\u201cKPop Demon Hunters,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0will feature alongside Ciara,\u00a0Foreigner,<\/a>\u00a0Lil Jon,\u00a0Kool & the Gang,<\/a>\u00a0Busta Rhymes,\u00a0Mickey Guyton<\/a>\u00a0and Teyana. An eclectic group of stars \u2014 from ballet dancer Tiler Peck to YouTube\u2019s \u201cHot Ones\u201d host Sean Evans \u2014 will join the annual holiday kick-off.<\/p>\n

Broadway will be represented by cast members from \u201cBuena Vista Social Club,\u201d \u201cJust in Time\u201d and\u00a0\u201cRagtime,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0while the Radio City Rockettes will be there and some serious athletes \u2014 three-time U.S. national champion figure skater Ilia Malinin and U.S Paralympian Jack Wallace. Alumni and students at LaGuardia High School in New York City \u2014 the school featured in the movie and TV series \u201cFame\u201d \u2014 will help celebrate the 50th anniversary of \u201cA Chorus Line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others on hand will be Jewel, Debbie Gibson, Drew Baldridge, Matteo Bocelli, Colbie Caillat, Gavin DeGraw, Meg Donnelly, Christopher Jackson, Darlene Love, Roman Mejia, Taylor Momsen, Calum Scott, Shaggy, Lauren Spencer Smith and Lu\u00edsa Sonza.<\/p>\n

Who is hosting the Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade?<\/p>\n

For those watching on TV or computers, the trio of hosting stalwarts \u2014 Savannah Guthrie and\u00a0Al Roker<\/a>\u00a0from \u201cToday\u201d and their former colleague\u00a0Hoda Kotb<\/a>. On Telemundo, the hosts will be Andrea Meza, Aleyda Ortiz and Clovis Nienow.<\/p>\n

What are the new balloons?<\/p>\n

This year, four new featured character balloons will debut, including Buzz Lightyear, Pac-Man, Mario from Super Mario Brothers and a 32-foot-tall (9.8-meter) balloon onion carriage featuring eight characters from the world of\u00a0\u201cShrek.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0\u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d will also be represented in the sky with the characters Derpy Tiger and Sussie.<\/p>\n

What about new floats?<\/p>\n

Several new floats will debut this year, including the first Labubu float, with Skullpanda, Peach Riot, Dimoo, Molly, Duckoo and Mokoko. There will also be floats from Holland America Line, Lego, Lindt chocolates, \u201cStranger Things\u201d featuring members of\u00a0Foreigner<\/a>, and a bunch of whimsical sheep trying to get to sleep courtesy of Serta. The fish-shaped snack Goldfish is returning to the parade with a tiny float that measures just 14 Goldfish crackers long.<\/p>\n

Is your state represented by any of the bands?<\/p>\n

The marching bands will hail from South Carolina, California, Texas, Arizona, New Hampshire, Mississippi, Alabama, Pennsylvania and Santiago, Panama. The New York Police Department\u2019s marching band will also join. There are no marching bands from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut set to appear.<\/p>\n
