People<\/a>, “Out of an abundance of caution, Liev went into the hospital for testing and as of this afternoon, he has been cleared to return to work.”<\/p>\nSchreiber has suffered from debilitating headaches in the past and previously revealed he feared he was having a stroke when a migraine led to memory problems while he was performing in a Broadway production of “Doubt: A Parable.”<\/p>\n
During an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in April 2024, the actor explained, “I was in my dressing room and I had a terrible headache. I thought it was maybe a fast-food headache, but it felt a little stronger than that. I\u2019m walking down the stairs and I\u2019m thinking, ‘This is not normal. I don\u2019t feel okay.'”<\/p>\n
Schreiber went on to admit he became even more worried when he forgot his co-star’s name and then couldn’t remember any of his lines onstage, saying, “It all vanishes. The play is gone from my head … I know I\u2019m in a play but I don\u2019t know what play I\u2019m in.”<\/p>\n
He continued, “My doctor, who\u2019s a friend, showed up, and he had a terrified expression. My wife shows up, she looks terrified. I think, ‘Okay, I\u2019ve had a stroke. This is it.'”<\/p>\n
Schreiber underwent an MRI scan, and he was later diagnosed with transient global amnesia (TGA), which can cause sudden bouts of memory loss and confusion.<\/p>\n
He added, “Apparently it\u2019s brought on by migraines and rigorous coitus … The guy said, ‘You\u2019ll never have this again, and it\u2019ll be gone in 8 to 24 hours.’ Which I didn\u2019t believe. You know, as a typical sort of Jewish hypochondriac person, I\u2019m convinced that I had a stroke and they just didn\u2019t find it.”<\/p>\n
Schreiber continued to say, “[However] I go to sleep, I wake up, I remember the whole play. I never had another problem with it.
