STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 A man is in stable condition after he was stabbed in an alleged assault in West Brighton early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
Police recovered a knife at the scene of the domestic incident, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.<\/p>\n
The assault was reported at about 1:18 a.m. at a home in the 400 block of Cary Avenue, according to a spokesman for the NYPD\u2019s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.<\/p>\n
A 39-year-old man was slashed in the right ear, shoulder and stomach. EMS transported the victim to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton, according to police.<\/p>\n
An individual was taken into custody and is being questioned by police, according to the spokesman.<\/p>\n
Caution tape is spread around the outside of the home where uniformed police are stationed during the Thursday morning rush hour.<\/p>\n
