During the beginning of her packed show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Wednesday, rock icon Stevie Nicks briefly addressed her fractured shoulder<\/a> injury, which had sidelined her from playing her previously scheduled August and September tour dates, including this New York stop. She initially thought at the time whether her performing days were over following the postponement. But she then told the supportive crowd: \u201cBecause of you, I said to myself on the very first day that I got back to L.A., \u2018Well, I\u2019m not going to deal with this well, so I\u2019m going to have to just get well\u2019\u2026I can\u2019t be away from my people!\u201d<\/p>\n Nicks\u2019 show at the Barclays certainly more than made up for the earlier cancellation, as she and her band performed about 90 minutes of her classic catalog of songs from Fleetwood Mac and her solo work. At this stage in her career, Nick\u2019s stature remains at an all-time high in the last decade thanks to the continued popularity of Fleetwood Mac\u2019s 1977 classic album Rumours; her 2019 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; and her collaborations with Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Harry Styles. And her multigenerational influence on many female musicians, as well as the adoration from her fans (as reflected in the Night of 1000 Stevies), cannot be overstated.<\/p>\n Interestingly, Nicks opened the show not with an original song of hers but a cover of the Crickets\u2019 \u201cNot Fade Away,\u201d which, in the context of her long career, seemed quite appropriate. From there, the rest of the evening seamlessly balanced between the classic songs she wrote for Fleetwood Mac (\u201cDreams,\u201d \u201cGypsy\u201d and a scorching rendition of \u201cGold Dust Woman\u201d) and her predominantly \u201880s solo material (a hard-hitting performance of \u201cStand Back,\u201d \u201cIf Anyone Falls\u201d and \u201cBella Donna\u201d).<\/p>\n The singer also performed her most recent single, the dramatic rocker \u201cThe Lighthouse,\u201d which she released last year. Very poignantly, the memory of the late Tom Petty loomed large during the show when Nicks performed \u201cStop Draggin\u2019 My Heart Around,\u201d her hit duet with Petty and Heartbreakers from 1981, and Petty\u2019s 1989 solo song \u201cFree Fallin\u2019\u201d. <\/p>\n Stevie Nicks at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 19, 2025. <\/p>\n credit: Sarah Waxberg<\/p>\n Nicks and the band brought the house down with an electrifying performance of \u201cEdge of Seventeen,\u201d highlighted by the distinctive riffs of her longtime guitarist, Waddy Wachtel. Naturally, the encore consisted of two of her iconic songs with Fleetwood Mac, the classic mystical rocker \u201cRhiannon\u201d and the melancholy ballad \u201cLandslide.\u201d<\/p>\n Through her stage moves and wardrobe \u2014 including her signature twirling and shawls \u2014 Nicks continued to cast an enchanting and bewitching presence, and her voice remained commanding and eloquent. In addition to Petty, Nicks paid homage to her late Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie through photographs of the two of them together projected on the video screen. <\/p>\n At the end of the show, Nicks offered words of wisdom to the cheering audience to \u201cdance,\u201d whether they\u2019re on their way to the kitchen or to watch television if they can\u2019t sleep. \u201cI find that is what has probably gotten me to 77 years old,\u201d she explained, before making another request to the fans to \u201cmostly just dance for me.
