\n\tThe United Kingdom\u2019s Queen Camilla <\/a>turned to go-to designer Anna Valentine for her attire at the Queen\u2019s Commonwealth Essay Competition reception in London on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe queen consort, clad in a subdued blue hue, wore a midi dress by the London-based designer with long sleeves and a scalloped motif running down the front placket of the frock. Queen Camilla accentuated her dress with a pair of black suede boots courtesy of Russell & Bromley. <\/p>\n

\n\tAlong with her standard Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry pieces, Queen Camilla adorned her blue dress with insect-inspired brooches \u2014 a bumblebee and a moth. The queen consort\u2019s moth brooch<\/a> is designed with dark blue sapphires, augmenting her Anna Valentine dress, and diamonds.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe smaller bee brooch also featured sapphires and diamonds, evoking an official color palette for Queen Camilla\u2019s royal attire. Both brooches have been part of Queen Camilla\u2019s personal jewelry collection for several years, with the queen consort wearing the moth brooch in particular on other official royal occasions. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe moth brooch was previously seen during Emperor Naruhito and\u00a0Empress Masako of Japan\u2019s state visit to the U.K. in June 2024. Even then, Queen Camilla styled the brooch as an accessory to her vibrant blue Fiona Clare midi dress. <\/p>\n

\n\tQueen Camilla\u2019s moth and small bumblebee sapphire and diamond brooches aren\u2019t the only insect-inspired pieces the queen consort has in her collection. In February, Queen Camilla showed off a more elaborate bumblebee brooch<\/a> adorned with gems and winged detailing during her visit to the Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Exeter, England.<\/p>\n

\n\tApart from her insect-inspired jewelry pieces, Queen Camilla also owns brooches by Van Cleef & Arpels<\/a> as well as inherited pieces that previously belonged to Queen Elizabeth II.
