NBC\/Meet the Press<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I appreciated about the conversation that I had with the president was that we were not shy about the places of disagreement,\u201d he added. \u201cWe also wanted to focus on what it could look like to deliver on a shared analysis of an affordable crisis for New Yorkers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During their <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/21\/us-news\/mamdani-trumps-expected-slugfest-turns-into-a-lovefest-as-president-says-socialist-will-make-nyc-greater-than-ever-before\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">encounter in the Oval Office<\/a>, Mamdani was put on the spot by a reporter who asked whether he still believed Trump is a fascist, something the Democratic Socialist has said repeatedly in the past.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s okay. You can just say yes,\u201d Trump interjected as Mamdani geared up to sidestep the question. \u201cIt\u2019s easier than explaining it.
