A rowdy mob pummeled a Queens couple and set a car ablaze when the residents and other locals\u00a0tried to stop a wild car meet-up in their neighborhood early Sunday, according to the victims and video.<\/p>\n
The disturbing attack occurred when a bunch of out-of-control drivers\u00a0descended on South Drive and 141 Street in Malba, doing donuts and speeding over lawns around 12:30 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I came out, I said, \u2018Bro, you gotta get the f\u2013k off my property,\u2019 and that\u2019s when it all started,\u201d victim Blake Ferrer told The Post.<\/p>\n
Last night in Malba, a large group of individuals from outside my district conducted an illegal ‘takeover’ of a quiet residential street at approximately 12:30am. This is not the first time it’s happened.<\/p>\n

His wife was also hit.<\/p>\n Ferrer was \u201clucky he wasn\u2019t killed,\u201d said disgusted City Councilwoman\u00a0Vickie\u00a0Paladino, who represents the neighborhood.<\/p>\n Larry Rusch, 59, a local whose car was set on fire, said it \u201cwas a complete melee.\u201d<\/p>\n A group of about a dozen people kicking and stomping on Ferrer.<\/p>\n Rusch, who owns a security company, said he first heard the reckless drivers performing donuts and rushed outside to see about 40 cars.\u00a0<\/p>\n He said he parked a company car in the intersection to try to prevent the rogue drivers from continuing their chaos.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAs soon as I did that, everyone started leaving,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n Larry Rusch attempted to stop the meetup by parking a car from his security company on the intersection \u2014 but the mob lit it on fire. Somehow they threw some kind of firework or something and lit the car up. Then melee started again.\u201d<\/p>\n Video posted on X by Paladino shows the vehicle in flames as a speeding car circles it.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cTo say this is a disgrace is an understatement,\u201d the pol told The Post. \u201cThey came with their cars and wreaked\u00a0havoc on this very quiet area of my district.\u201d<\/p>\n The car that was set on fire in Malba, Queens at the car meetup. David DeTurris \/ NY Post<\/p>\n Another 41-year-old resident had objects thrown into his car when he tried to stop the chaos, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n Locals said the area is a hotspot for drivers doing donuts.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been living there my whole life,\u201d Rusch said. \u201cIt happens but not to this extent.\u201d<\/p>\n Several armed residents showed extreme restraint, \u201chowever that level of restraint is not guaranteed,\u201d Paladino wrote on X.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIf the city refuses to do what\u2019s necessary, the people might,\u201d she warned.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t
