Mayor Eric Adams on Monday visited the historic Manhattan synagogue that was recently targeted by vile anti-Israel protesters \u2013 saying \u201cwe show up\u201d in the face of hate.<\/p>\n

X\/@NYCMayor<\/p>\n The mayor said he stood \u201cproudly\u201d with Rabbi Arthur Schneier and other temple members to \u201ccelebrate Jewish life and reaffirm our unshakable bond with Israel after last week\u2019s antisemitic protests.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNeither antisemitism nor ANY other form of hate has any place in NYC,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n Photos posted online showed the outgoing Democrat posing with Schneier and also talking with various synagogue members.<\/p>\n Some 200 protesters organized by the anti-Israel activist group Pal-Awda NY\/NJ group descended on the house of worship Wednesday night, heckling attendees entering Park East for an event held<\/a> by a Zionist organization that helps Jewish people immigrate to Israel.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is our duty to make them think twice before holding these events,\u201d one protest leader told the crowd, before repeating, \u201cWe need to make them scared.\u201d<\/p>\n Adams was out of town at the time \u2014 but his First Deputy Mayor Randy Mastro Sunday he was peeved<\/a> that the NYPD didn\u2019t keep the hate-spewing demonstrators away from the religious institution\u2019s entrance.<\/p>\n NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch issued an apology<\/a> to the congregation over the weekend, admitting the department fell short of minimizing the chaos around the protest.<\/p>\n A high-ranking Trump administration official said Monday the feds were getting involved.<\/p>\n The protest last week spiraled out of control.
