A promising young star in the Latin music scene had her life cut short in an \u201cambush-style\u201d shooting while sitting in a parked car in Los Angeles over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Maria De La Rosa, a 22-year-old known professionally as DELAROSA, was tragically killed in the Northridge neighborhood after two cold-blooded gunmen approached and opened fire on her vehicle.<\/p>\n

Witnesses said two male suspects bolted up to the car and fired a flurry of rounds into the vehicle around 1:25 a.m. on Nov. 22. Two other men were in the car with the singer, they were left in critical condition and fighting for their lives.<\/p>\n

De La Rosa was rushed to the Northridge Hospital Medical Center in a pedestrian car, where she was pronounced dead, according to ABC 7<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The brutal murder could be gang related, according to investigators.<\/p>\n

The up-and-coming singer was just making her mark on the music world, having released her track \u201cNo Me Llames\u201d this past August. Detectives are working to piece together a motive for the execution-style murder, and the suspects remain unknown to the public.<\/p>\n
