Riley<\/a> held a special Thanksgiving food distribution on Friday, Nov. 21, at his district office, located at 940 E. Gun Hill Rd. in the Bronx.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-137023\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_1007.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"  \/>Community members receive their food and other items. Photo by Jewel Webber<\/p>\n<p>Known as the \u201cUptown Thanksgiving Distribution,\u201d this event featured a variety of food, including turkey, goat meat, oxtail, canned goods, rice and more.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-137020\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_1012.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"  \/>Young adults from the AIMHigh Empowerment Institute assisted in this food distribution. Photo by Jewel Webber<\/p>\n<p>Riley addressed the attendees during the event, discussing the importance of spreading love and joy by assisting community members in need.<\/p>\n<p>While Thanksgiving is most associated with turkey, Riley said he wanted to provide additional meat options like goat meat and oxtail because the district has a large Caribbean population, who may have a stronger preference for these alternatives.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-137015\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_1028.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"  \/>Community members were grateful to Riley for organizing this event.
