Through New York State\u2019s continued investment in arts and culture, NYSCA has awarded $80.9 million\u00a0in FY 2026 to arts and culture nonprofits across all 10 regions and a historic number of artists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew York\u2019s arts and culture sector is a cornerstone of the state\u2019s identity, and we&#8217;re making bold investments to ensure it remains strong,\u201d\u00a0Governor Hochul said.\u00a0\u201cThese grants will lift up artists and organizations in every region, fueling local economies and expanding access to the arts. Its evidence-based\u00a0Partnerships in Literacy through Dance &amp; Creativity\u00a0program annually serves up to 1,000 students and 200 teachers in historically under-resourced, geographically isolated, marginalized and disenfranchised Title I NYC public elementary schools. MDD\u2019s Professional Learning Program supports MDD\u2019s teaching artists and educational program staff with 30-120 hours of annual learning in the company\u2019s methods\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>and methodology.
