CASTLE HILL, the Bronx (PIX11) \u2014 A 39-year-old taxi driver was stabbed multiple times in an SUV at a Bronx intersection early Wednesday morning, according to police sources.<\/p>\n
The man was found unconscious with multiple stab wounds to the back and abdomen in the vehicle near Randall Avenue and White Plains Road in Castle Hill at around 2:30 a.m., according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n
More Local News <\/a><\/p>\n The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery, according to police and the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers (NYSFTD). He was later listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n Sources said the man was found sitting behind the wheel in the grey Toyota SUV with Taxi & Limousine Commission plates. The car was parked near P.S. 182.<\/p>\n \u201cThis was a vicious attack on a hardworking family man. We need the public\u2019s help to catch whoever did this,\u201d said Steven Rivera, president of NYSFTD.<\/p>\n The NYSFTD is offering a $5,000 reward for information on the case.<\/p>\n It was unclear what sparked the attack. There have been no arrests.<\/p>\n \u201cThis was an attempted murder and a danger to every New Yorker.
