With her latest book, \u201cThe Look,\u201d Michelle Obama<\/a> is kicking off a live tour for a new podcast series in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

The former first lady, producer and best-selling author<\/a> will be joined by actress Tracee Ellis Ross<\/a> at the Brooklyn Academy of Music<\/a> on Nov. 5, the same day a special, six-part podcast series, \u201cIMO: The Look,\u201d launches.<\/p>\n

The high-wattage event, announced Thursday, will promote Obama\u2019s new tome, which examines her fashion choices during her time in the White House and throughout her public life.<\/p>\n

Fashion stylist Meredith Koop<\/a>, makeup artist Carl Ray and hairstylists Yene Damtew and Njeri Radway offer behind-the-scenes insights on the Chicago native\u2019s most memorable looks while also offering a powerful story about how we present ourselves.<\/p>\n

Published by Penguin Random House<\/a>, \u201cThe Look\u201d is scheduled to go on sale Nov. 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cIMO: The Look,\u201d will serve as a companion series to IMO, which the \u201cBecoming<\/a>\u201d author hosts with her brother, Craig Robinson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Produced by Higher Ground, the media company founded by the Obamas, the new podcast will include conversations with Academy Award-winning actress Jane Fonda<\/a>, groundbreaking model-activist Bethann Hardison<\/a>, fashion executive-turned-reality star Jenna Lyons and former fashion magazine editors Nina Garcia and Elaine Welteroth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the announcement, Obama \u201creveals how she and her team transformed the scrutiny of her public image into a celebration of self-expression, inclusion and impact\u201d during those pre-recorded discussions.<\/p>\n
