A would-be chain thief slashed a female straphanger with a razor during the Tuesday evening rush in the Bronx \u2013 about a week after a pink coat-wearing attacker choked a teen girl on board a Brooklyn train, cops said.<\/p>\n
The victim was riding a northbound 2 train passing through the Pelham Parkway station around 5:30 p.m. when the perp \u2013 a stranger \u2013 inserted herself in a conversation the victim was having and sparked a fight, authorities and sources said.<\/p>\n
The perp then cut the victim with a razor and tried but failed to grab her chain, authorities said.<\/p>\n
A 42-year-old woman was slashed by a would-be chain thief on board a northbound 2 train at the Pelham Parkway station Tuesday evening, cops said. Stephen Yang<\/p>\n
The suspect, believed to be in her 30s, fled after the attack, police said. <\/p>\n
In a separate, unrelated attack last week, a female stranger choked a 13-year-old girl during a clash on board a Brooklyn train during the morning rush, cops said.<\/p>\n
The pink coat-wearing attacker got into an argument with the young teen on board a G train at Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg around 7:50 a.m. Nov. 17, authorities said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The fired-up fiend then grabbed the girl\u2019s throat and squeezed, making it hard for her to breathe, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The attacker, a stranger, butted into a conversation the victim was having before she turned violent, sources said. Stephen Yang<\/p>\n
The heartless assailant, shown in a surveillance image released by the NYPD late Tuesday, fled out of the train and cops are still looking to track her down, police said.<\/p>\n
The teen was treated at the scene for injuries to her neck, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
