{"id":54940,"date":"2025-11-28T18:26:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T18:26:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/54940\/"},"modified":"2025-11-28T18:26:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T18:26:08","slug":"two-arrested-reportedly-stole-tools-from-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/54940\/","title":{"rendered":"Two arrested, reportedly stole tools from building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">TOWN OF LOUISVILLE, New York (WWNY) &#8211; A report of tools stolen from a building led to the arrest of two.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">New York State Police say shortly after 2 p.m. on June 19, troopers responded to State Route 56 in the Town of Louisville for the report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">An investigation determined that two men unlawfully entered a building without permission and stole tools. Those men were identified as Jason Morgan, 42, of Norfolk, and Curtis Welcher, 34, of Massena.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Welcher was arrested and processed on August 8, 2025. He was charged with 3rd-degree burglary and arraigned in the Town of Norfolk Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">State Police submitted a request for an arrest warrant for Morgan through the Louisville Town Court. The warrant was granted on October 23.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Morgan was located on November 27. He was arrested and transported to State Police in Massena for processing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Morgan was charged with 3rd-degree burglary and 4th-degree grand larceny.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Morgan was arraigned in the Town of Massena Court, where he was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WWNY.
