Travel advisories have been issued for parts of Central New York due to lake-effect snow that is impacting the area.<\/p>\n
Advisories have been issued for Madison County and Lewis County.<\/p>\n
Lake-effect snow bands are causing whiteout conditions and slippery roads at times. Lake-effect snow is expected to bring at least 7-15 inches in the area.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to remind people to be cautious,\u201d said Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood.\u00a0 \u201cIf you go out on the roads make sure you give yourself plenty of time and give the plow trucks plenty of space.\u00a0 We want everyone to get to their destinations safely and that includes you, our plow truck drivers and our first responders.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
