{"id":55751,"date":"2025-11-29T19:45:21","date_gmt":"2025-11-29T19:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/55751\/"},"modified":"2025-11-29T19:45:21","modified_gmt":"2025-11-29T19:45:21","slug":"menswear-ceo-apologizes-after-crude-email-marketing-blast-grow-the-f-k-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/55751\/","title":{"rendered":"Menswear CEO apologizes after crude email marketing blast: &#8216;Grow the f&#8211;k up&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>They weren\u2019t kidding. <\/p>\n<p>The CEO of a menswear company is pulling a mea culpa after customers woke up Wednesday morning to an unsolicited email barking at them to \u201cgrow the f\u2013k up\u201d \u2014 and buy a suit.<\/p>\n<p>The profanity-laced directive was slapped into the subject line \u2014 inexplicably accompanied by a fire emoji \u2014 while the body of the email offered zero explanation, and instead hawked 45% off Black Friday suit deals.<\/p>\n<p>A followup email, launched at 8 p.m. later that night, started off with \u201cwe owe you an apology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37794886\" width=\"734\" height=\"497\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/menswear-company-xsuit-sent-customers-116352597.jpg\" alt=\"Email from xSuit with the subject line &quot;Grow the f**k up \ud83d\udd25&quot; and a promotional image for &quot;SAVE 45% on xSuit 5.0&quot; and &quot;UP TO 70% OFF SITEWIDE.&quot;\" class=\"wp-image-37794886\" style=\"width:734px;height:auto;aspect-ratio:1.47763348;display:block\"  \/>xSuit sent the first bizarre email on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m writing to apologize for the email you received earlier today,\u201d wrote xSuit founder Maximilien Perez. \u201cThe subject line was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely at odds with who we are.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe built\u00a0xSuit\u00a0on a promise to be confident without being arrogant. . . .  Then we send something crude and try to justify it as edgy,\u201d he goes on to say, without ever really explaining how the \u201cf\u2013k up\u201d happened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou deserve better. . . . Not something designed to shock or offend in the name of getting noticed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But for a company telling men to \u201cgrow the f\u2013k up,\u201d its suits seem tailor-made for those who don\u2019t want to \u2014 targeting Gen Z and Millennial men with claims that the ensembles never need dry cleaning or ironing and can even make spills \u201croll off your suit like magic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perez, whose company launched in 2017 and is based in Shanghai, wildly boasts he\u2019s \u201cchanged suiting forever\u201d and that his line of suits, which retail for around $500, are so comfortable one could sleep or work out in them \u2014 giving serious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/?v=3053623854784717\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Barney from \u201cHow I met Your Mother\u201d<\/a> vibes.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.26732673;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37794884\" width=\"748\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/xsuit-ceo-max-perez-116345771.jpg\" alt=\"xSuit CEO Max Perez sitting in a manufacturing facility.\" class=\"wp-image-37794884\"  \/>Perez, who\u2019s based in Shanghai, has made some bold claims about his suits. xsuit.com<\/p>\n<p>But Perez\u2019s wardrobe line seems to be just as polarizing as his guerrilla marketing tactics.<\/p>\n<p>Some Redditers have described the menswear as \u201csomething a high school kid would wear\u201d and \u201ca jogging suit that pretends to be a jacket,\u201d while others have praised them as \u201cthe perfect suit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not clear if the rogue email was the action of a disgruntled employee, some kind of strange inside joke \u2014 or a questionable marketing stunt. <\/p>\n<p>The company didn\u2019t respond to The Post\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"They weren\u2019t kidding.
