New York City police arrested \u201cmultiple\u201d anti-ICE protestors who were irate over an immigration crackdown in Chinatown, NY1 reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n
NY1 reporter Olivia Leach reported live from the \u201cvery active scene,\u201d where she said she saw several protestors \u201cchasing after\u201d cars that were leaving a parking garage that was being raided by ICE agents.<\/p>\n
Leach reported protestors \u201cgot word\u201d about the operation, at a garage at the corner of Howard Street and Centre Street in Lower Manhattan, and attempted to thwart the raid.<\/p>\n
The protestors gathered outside, at times were \u201cblocking traffic\u201d and \u201cthrowing things at ICE agents,\u201d she reported; Leach, a moment later, said the protestors were \u201cthrowing planters\u201d at agents, per the NYPD.<\/p>\n
NY1\u2019s footage captured several protestors clashing with the cops, as well as a few protestors donning all black and wearing masks and helmets being arrested. A number of other protestors were seen standing around, and one middle-aged woman was seen chanting and holding a small sign that said \u201cICE OUT OF NYC.\u201d<\/p>\n
Local cops were on the scene, attempting to clear the area for the agents to leave, Leach reported. Several protestors who did not comply after multiple warnings were arrested, she said.<\/p>\n
The New York Post reported more than 150 protestors<\/a> were at the scene.<\/p>\n \u201cVideo showed some protestors screaming \u2018you are corrupt\u2019 and ignoring NYPD officers\u2019 pleas to \u2018back up\u2019 behind barricades authorities had set up,\u201d the Post reported.<\/p>\n Saturday\u2019s protests come a month after a similarly wild scene erupted in NYC.<\/p>\n NewsNation reporter\u00a0Jessica Kartalija captured the frenzied clash<\/a> between protestors and ICE agents on live TV on October 21, reporting protestors \u201cyelling racial slurs\u201d and \u201cpushing\u201d federal agents as they swarmed their vehicles.<\/p>\n \u201cWe don\u2019t want them in our f**king city!\u201d one female protestor yelled at Kartalija. \u201cThey\u2019re fakers, I don\u2019t believe them to have this authority, I don\u2019t think they should be able to cover their faces. They should not be able to kidnap people in the streets!\u201d<\/p>\n The young woman, a moment later, flipped out when Kartalija asked her about the traffic the protest was causing. \u201cIt\u2019s New York City!
