STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 A report of fire in West Brighton prompted another emergency response of 12 units of fire department units on Sunday evening \u2014 at the same home where a fire occurred Sunday morning.<\/a><\/p>\n

Approximately 60 firefighters and EMS personnel helped to battle the blaze located at 28 Elizabeth St., around 4:43 p.m. on Sunday evening, an FDNY spokesperson said. <\/p>\n

The fire was place under control by 5:43 p.m., according to the FDNY. One firefighter was taken to an area hospital with non-serious injuries.<\/p>\n

The home is unoccupied, according to an FDNY spokesperson. <\/p>\n

Firefighters are focusing their efforts on what appears to be a third floor attic, and moved down to investigate the home\u2019s second floor.<\/p>\n

Multiple ladders are in use, as of 6:10 p.m.<\/p>\n

It is the same location as Sunday morning\u2019s fire,<\/a> which occurred at 6:10 a.m. and was placed under control at 7:04 a.m., according to the FDNY.<\/p>\n

Early Sunday morning, four firefighters sustained non-serious injuries while responding to the blaze and were transported to nearby hospitals, the FDNY said.<\/p>\n

The fire charred the side of the yellow three-story dwelling. Firefighters appeared to have knocked out most of the home\u2019s windows.<\/p>\n

The cause of both fires remain under investigation, according fire officials.<\/p>\n
